We love a singer/rapper who can express their true feelings through their music. Chicago-born singer and rapper Tink does just that through her songs. Since her debut mixtape, Winter’s Diary, in 2011, she has proved that she is a force to be reckoned with by landing herself on the year-end lists for Rolling Stone and Billboard. In 2015, she snagged a coveted spot on the XXL Freshman Class cover cementing her spot in hip hop.
Today Tink is back to serve us another no-skips album, Thanks 4 Nothing. The album, comprised of 14 hot tracks, includes her two most recent releases, "Toxic" and “Fake Love,” the latter which dropped this past Wednesday, February 22.
“I wrote this album specifically for single ladies. I wanted to give the girls a set of songs to play after the breakup," shares the R&B singer. "This is for anyone reclaiming their time, reclaiming their joy. reclaiming their sometimes. We have to appreciate the good with the bad; hence, 'thanks 4 nothing.'”
Tink's new album dives into the grittier and more intricate aspects of relationships. It examines the multifaceted issues of love, ranging from dealing with toxic individuals, struggling with trust issues, allowing oneself to be vulnerable and grappling with infidelity—all while maintaining a sense of independence and self-worth.
Outside of music, Tink is a lover of fashion and beauty. She likes to keep her hair, nails and face on point. She loves getting all dolled up and looking cute for herself because she doesn’t need anyone else's validation.
Below, Tink share’s her favorite beauty must-haves that she likes to use on the daily. Let us know your faves as well.
