Congratulations are in order for tennis star Sloane Stephens and professional soccer player Jozy Altidore. The couple recently announced their engagement via social media.

The U.S. Open champion shared the beautiful news on Instagram Monday, where she showed off her engagement ring in a photo with her fiance. Keeping it short and simple, Stephens captioned the announcement, "Forever yes."

Although the two have known each other since the fifth grade, they didn't begin officially dating until summer 2017. Stephens opened up about the support she received from her beau when she suffered a devastating injury.

"I don't think there's been a more positive person in my corner that I've had," Stephens told the New York Times. "When I [suffered a foot injury] I was with him and I would always make fun of myself and he'd make fun of me. But he kept it really light for me, so I was never too sad."

Altidore, who currently plays for the Toronto FC, signed a three-year extension with the club as a Designated Player in February, ESPN reports. The skilled player won the U.S. Soccer's Male Athlete of the Year Award in both 2013 and 2016.
