In the latest example of what happens when a man with too much money has a mid-life crisis, Snoop Dogg recently changed his name to Snoop Lion and plans to release a reggae-themed album.

(No, you didn’t just leave Ebony.com and land on The Onion. Thanks for asking, though.)

While the album itself, titled Reincarnated, won’t drop until later this year, Snoop Lion and “the Jungle” — Snoop Lion’s band — have already released their first single, “La La La.”

“It’s all reggae and he’s singing and he’s doing a f—ing awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song,” album executive producer Diplo of Major Lazer told MTV. “We’re going to get back into the production of it next month, and I’m really proud of this record. It’s the first record I’ve ever executive produced and his crew is amazing.”
