Talk about getting what you want when you want it. For former New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall, it looks like that’s exactly what has happened.

The 32-year-old reached a two-year, $12 million agreement with the New York Giants, ESPN reported on Wednesday. The deal was agreed to just days after the Jets released him, clearing $7.5 million on its own salary cap. The Jets did offer Marshall a contract extension with no cut in pay, but ultimately no agreement was reached.

Marshall, who has been picked for the NFL Pro Bowl was voted Most Valuable Player by the Jets in 2015 with a record 105 catches and 1,502 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. But the following season went downhill with only 59 catches, 788 yards and three touchdowns, according to ESPN.

Marshall himself was apparently so ecstatic about moving from team to team that he tweeted his signed contract.

The acquisition could be a boost for the Giants, because they add Marshall to their roster along with Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr.
