Godfather (and Antoine Fuqua) fans rejoice: Something new is brewing for you.

Director Fuqua is teaming up with Sly Stallone on “Omerta,” a mafia drama based upon the last Godfather book penned by author Mario Puzo. Stallone will play the head of a crime family in this TV adaptation. It’s the “Creed” actor’s first foray into television.

If this adaptation wins any awards, hopefully this time around, Sly will remember to include all the pertinent people in his thank you speech. Yes, shade fully intended.

Fuqua, meanwhile, has been busy directing Chris Pratt and Denzel Washington in the remake of “Magnificent Seven. Speaking of which: We’ll have more on the director’s turn bringing us a multi-culti Western very soon. Stay tuned…
