Alden Ehrenreich is filling some big shoes in his latest role in the upcoming Solo: A Stars Wars Story.

The actor plays Han Solo in the latest entry in the massive Star Wars franchise; a role originated by Harrison Ford.

In Solo, the 28-year-old star teamed up with director Ron Howard, but it’s not his first time working with influential or legendary directors.

He’s been in films by Francis Ford Coppola, The Coen Brothers and Warren Beatty and for Ehrenreich working closely with them was a learning experience for him.

“To me, that’s the most important thing. I think the director really is the author of the movie,” he told EBONY. “If I’m working with a great director, I can’t lose. Even if the movie comes out and no one sees it or it doesn’t come out particularly good, you still learn so much by working from with people who are masters of their craft.  That’s been the great joy of my working life so far is learning from those guys.”

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out May 25 and also stars Donald Glover.
