The scariest, sexiest or silliest night of the year is upon us – Halloween! Whether dressed as your favorite celebrity (insert Beyonce, Rihanna or Nicki Minaj) or decked out in zombie gear, your makeup is equally important as your costume. When it comes to showcasing your spooky fit, spend time decorating your face to give your ensemble that extra something special.

Need some assistance? Celebrity beauty expert Tomy Rivero knows exactly how to maximize your style. Paint the town blood red this weekend with these scare tactics.

One of the first steps to make a boo-tiful scene on Halloween night is layering. “Layers of makeup are key. Use cream products first, and seal with powder. The colors will pop and last all night,” suggests Rivero.

Additionally, he recommends using a setting spray. Urban Decay Setting Spray in All-Nighter is a wonderful option to make a statement without ruining the integrity of your makeup.

Be devilishly delicious by having fun with your nail color. Go bold in a big way with Lauren B. Beauty’s Vegan Nail Lacquers. The polishes come in a variety of rich shades that are perfect for spook night.

Are you going ultra glam this year? “When wearing false lashes and you are not an expert, remember to measure the eyelash along your own lashes and CUT accordingly. A big mistake is to just to pop the lash straight from the pack. Fit and adjust the falsies so that it frames YOUR eye, then proceed to glue. This is going to make the eyelashes appear more natural and realistic,” says Rivero.

One of our favorite false lashes is Ardell Lashes. The Press-On Lashes are super easy to apply and make getting dolled up as easy as 1-2-3.

Daring eyes are big winners. A great product to help you achieve that dynamic fierceness is NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Pencils. These creamy pencils work well as a base under your favorite shadows or can be worn alone. This product is super for blending, making for a picture perfect look that will last well into the wee hours.

We know many of you ladies may opt for simple costumes but still want to add some ghoulish glamour without going overboard. Spruce up your ensemble with a fun pop of color on the lip. Put the nude or classic red lip to the side, and live dangerously. Opt for a dark, devious color such as black or a bright, fun orange. Check out Hard Candy Fierce Effects Daring Lip Glosses, which come in a fun array of colors and will certainly make a style statement no matter who you decide to be.

Have a fabulously fright-filled Halloween, lovelies!
