Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty answered the prayers of many women who could never find their proper foundation shade. The task is even more difficult for those wanting to fully cover hyperpigmentation.
Such was the case for Janelle, a woman who’s illness, lupus, has resulted in uneven skin tone and facial scarring. After trying Fenty Pro Filt’r foundation, she’s found a new confidence, and her husband Daryl couldn’t be more grateful.
“My wife has cutaneous lupus erythematosus and we have tried EVERY makeup brand to try to cover up her pigmentation variations and scarring of her skin,” wrote Daryl in the review section of the Fenty Beauty site. “NOTHING has worked as well as this Fenty foundation.”
“I would like to personally thank Rihanna [sic] with putting out a product that has helped my wife of 16 years regain some of her confidence and helped her with her reluctance to leave our home due to her skin imperfections.”
He continued, “I have attached a picture of her without makeup and one of her & I heading out for our 16th anniversary with Fenty foundation on that she applied herself and was so pleased it was easy to apply.”
“I hope this message reaches Rihanna so she knows how much she is helping the love of my life get through the struggle of her affliction.”
