With cold weather and holiday weddings right around the corner, I’m ready to show you a modern spin on a classic look: a rich colored lip. On my model, Karima Renee, I amped her lips with a rich wine color and added intensity to her liner to really modernize the look. This look is absolutely perfect for an evening wedding.

Step 1: We start with clean face ready for skin prep.  I used Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentrate to moisturize and Bobbi Brown eye cream under the eyes. Then, I used a new favorite BECCA Ever-Matte Poreless Primer.

Step 2-: Next I used Anastasia Brow Wiz in a mix of Dark Brown and Chocolate to shape the brows. Then, prime your lids with Urban Decay’s Eden primer.

Step 3: Now that those brows are done, draw the tail of your wing first up and out towards the tail of your brow. Next, take your liner from the tail of your wing and bring it back into your lash line. This should give you a perfect wing liner.

Step 4: Using the Lorac Pro Palette, use a pencil and smudge the black shadow on the lids, close to the winged tail. Use the color Sable to softly define the crease and create depth. Don’t forget the lid: use a flat, fluffy brush and blend all the colors together.

Step 5: For the foundation, I used MAKE UP FOR EVER’s HD foundation in #177 all over the face, blending into the neck and hairline.

Step 6: Next, I used another new favorite to highlight Karima’s face, IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. I used this with a damp Beauty Blender on all the high points of the face: under the eyes, on the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, and her forehead.

Step 7: Once all the foundation and concealer is set, I used the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Finish powder foundation to set her foundation in #177. I also contoured with the same product in #180. Finish with blush, lashes and for the lips.

Step 8: To get the deep berry trend, start with MAC’s Vino lip liner. Then, use MAKE UP FOR EVER satin lipstick in shade #48 to get that berry pop of color.

Step 9: Add your veil and accessories and get ready to turn heads on your special day.
