I know as a curvy, plus-sized woman, I’ve struggled to find new places to refresh my wardrobe as the seasons come around. The good thing is that between shopping in the brick-and-mortar stores and boutiques, to surfing the online fashion hubs, I’ve been able to add to my wardrobe within a reasonable budget. Good for you ladies; I’ve put in the work to find the some of the top plus-size designers you should get to know this season.

Carmakoma

Edgy. Dark. Sassy. Classics with a twist and leaders in their own right, there’s always something to talk about with Carmakoma’s pieces. That’s why I love them and I believe you will too. The Flicker Mini-Cardigan and the Simone pants caught my attention in mere seconds. They also have beautiful, basic dresses, sexy skinny jeans and more. Oh, and you’ll drool over the plus-size bomber jacket.

Addition Elle

Addition Elle is Canada’s leading retailer whom I’ve long been a fan of. Their Great Genes campaign celebrates plus-size fashion for bigger women, with denim styles ranging from boot cut to trouser to skinnies. I’m especially obsessed with the pleated front jeggings (featured in gallery). I’m also happy to see that they’re offering wide calf boots for the season, and cute jackets!

City Chic Online

This Aussie plus-size powerhouse that ships to the U.S. and is carried at Nordstrom gives us fashionable options and playful essentials for the closet. Peplum tops galore, blazers and other separates offer variety we haven’t seen in a while. They have great items on sale right now, especially for the winter!

Hips and Curves

I am a firm believer in laying the right foundation. If you’re looking for amazing lingerie and other sexy items, then this is the place. With beautiful and classic pieces, there’s something for everyone here. I still dream about their peekaboo panties from last season!

Simply Be

I can get lost in the pages of Simply Be. What’s your fashion poison? I am sure there’s something here you can find. With sizes ranging from a 10 – 28, Simply Be offers an outstanding range of form, fit and fashion. I’m always snatching a few items from them each season.

My Online shopping hint: Be sure to check the sizing guidelines before buying from a new designer. Whereas you could be a 16 with one designer, it’s very well you could be a 14 or an 18 with another designer.

Where are you currently shopping online? Any favorite retailers you’re in love with right now? Designers? Leave a comment let me know!
