On the heels of the Isabel Toledo Collaboration launch, Lane Bryant announced to WWD their latest collaboration in the works with designer Sophie Theallet. Raising the bar on their plus-size lingerie offerings, Lane Bryant and Sophie Theallet have teamed up for a plus-size lingerie designer collaboration that breathes a breath of fresh air into the curvy girls’ intimates collection.

“Beautiful clothing should not be limited to size 12 and under. Between the Toledo and Theallet launches, we hope this helps change the view [of plus-size women in sexy lingerie],” says Linda Heasley, chief executive officer of Lane Bryant.

Who Is Sophie Theallet, You Ask?

Sophie Theallet is the French designer whose résumé includes the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier and Azzedine Alaïa. She’s also known for dressing FLOTUS Michelle Obama.

If this released sketch gives us a small peek of what’s to come, plus-size women are in for a treat. High-end French designer details at accessible price points? We’ll take it!

The collection will feature floral patterns, satin chemises and lace-trim garter skirts, among other intimate numbers, and prices will range from $19 to $109.

“We wanted something a little risqué,” said Linda Heasley. “When I saw Sophie’s fashion show, I saw so much that could be translated to Cacique [Lane Bryant’s intimate collection]. The French aesthetic is so important to the lingerie category.”

This designer capsule collection will be sold in stores and online this fall.
