The Trend: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and celebs everywhere have been showing their support by donning their nails with various shades of pink. Whether you’re a survivor, a close friend or family member, or just want to your support, join the world by rocking your pink in honor of the women affected by breast cancer. Check out the details for this beautiful manicure to get you started.

EBONY: How did you create the look?

Azia B: I began by applying two coats of white nail polish to eight fingers. Try Gelish Soak-off Gel Polish in Sheek White ($12.50; beyondpolish.com). For the accent nails, I applied the Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon using tweezers. We like Milani Neon Nail Lacquer in Pink Rocks! ($3.82; drugstore.com) for the pink accent nails. To apply the rhinestones, I used a toothpick and a small amount of topcoat to pick up the jewels and placed them on the nail using nail glue. To finish the look, I applied topcoat and allowed to dry completely. [Editor’s Note: You can find pink ribbon nail decals at The Pink Ribbon Shop.]

EBONY: Could you share some of your tips for maintaining fall manicures?

AB: During the colder months, it’s very important to keep your cuticles moisturized to keep them from cracking and becoming brittle. Essential oils work great!
