EBONY: How did you create this design?

Tee: First, I applied two coats of a matte color and let it dry completely.  The matte color I used was Sinful Colors Cold Leather from the Leather Luxe Collection available at Walgreens.  (Editor’s Note:  While these shades  may be tricky to find, try using one coat of your favorite shades, followed by a top coat of OPI Matte Top Coat; $9.00; Ulta.com I then  applied French Polish guides to the tips of my nails.  I polished the tips with a metallic color and carefully removed the guides while still wet. Try Essie’s 'As Gold As it Gets' ($8.50; Beauty.com). Lastly I added a shiny top coat only to the metallic tips.

EBONY:  Who is your favorite "nail icon" at the moment?

Tee:  My favorite "nail icon" at the moment is @NailGurlNYC!
