Nicki Minaj is known for rapping, singing, acting and now she’s exploring a new venture…modeling. The multitalented entertainer recently signed a major contract with Wilhelmina’s celebrity division.

Minaj is no stranger to fashion and recently attended Paris Fashion Week where she made several stylish statements. The performer also frequently rubs elbows with many big names in the industry, including Jeremy Scott and Roberto Cavalli.

In addition to working with cutting edge photographers like Mario Testino, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Minaj recently paid tribute to legendary designer Alexander McQueen while hanging in London.

The style world isn’t the only one the hip-hop Barbie is taking over. Minaj recently made history as the only woman in Billboard history to have 76 Hot 100 entries, surpassing the iconic Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. It’s safe to say Minaj came into 2017 with guns blazing, and she isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Between her lucrative rapping career and all of her other commitments, one would think modeling would be too much to add to Minaj’s plate. But not for Queens-bred artist; she’s excited to enter the modeling world and Wilhelmina shares her sentiments.

Minaj announced the exciting news on her Instagram.

In an email to Vogue, Minaj explained her passion for fashion. “I love the synergy between my music and how it inspires my fashion. My message is always celebrating your own style. I’m thrilled and honored to have signed with Wilhelmina—they get me.”

As Wilhelmina’s new signee, it seems like a win-win situation.
