President Barack Obama is fond of layups and using his defensive rebounding skills on senatorial opponents. Now, equipped with some new kicks courtesy of director Spike Lee, he’ll lay in to his sports opponents with style.

Lee awarded the commander in chief with a pair of Air Jordan Spizikes situated in a wood-engrained shoebox emblazoned with the Presidential seal — made especially by Mr. Jumpman (Michael Jordan) himself at a recent fundraiser in New York City. The ‘Bordeaux’ style, which is allegedly slated for a February 2012 release, mixes the primary colors with the shoes signature black and grey patterned detailing and Jumpman graphic.

What do you think Obama’s Air Nikes? Should the president rock these at the State of the Union address tonight?
