Rihanna made her return to New York Fashion Week on Wednesday night with an inclusive and empowering presentation of her fall/winter 2018 Savage X Fenty lingerie collection.
The Bajan superstar introduced new lingerie pieces that were worn by models of all races with diverse complexions, shapes and sizes. The show featured nature and women having fun through dance. Model Slick Woods was just one of the women who walked the runway while pregnant. Other notables to hit the catwalk included Aweng Chuol, Duckie Thot, Joan Smalls, and Gigi and Bella Hadid.
Rihanna took her final bow wearing a brown tube dress and head scarf. Elvis Presley’s “Love Me Tender” played as she walked past the slew of models holding hands in solidarity. It was perhaps the most inclusive and diverse show to take place at Fashion Week. When jumping into the beauty and fashion business, the entrepreneur made a conscious effort to create products that negated beauty standards and included all women.
