Tamar Braxton and Anthony Hamilton are slated to perform at the 8th Annual Black Music Honors.

Other performers include Sevyn Streeter, Tina Campbell of Mary Mary, Robin Thicke, Lil’ Mo, Kenny Lattimore; 702, Raheem DeVaughn, Dave Hollister, Elle Varner, Nicole Wray, Tweet, Beverly Crawford, Le’Andria Johnson, Zacardi Cortez, Latocha Scott, Melvin Williams, The Shindellas, Juvenile, Kelontae Gavin and Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling.

Grammy-winning artist LeToya Luckett and comedian DeRay Davis are set to return as co-hosts of the highly-anticipated event.

Don Jackson, founder and executive producer of Black Music Honors, is anticipating a memorable night of celebrating the undeniable legacy of Black music.

“As we come together to celebrate the rich cultural milestone that is Black Music Month, we get the unique opportunity to showcase the depth and breadth of talent within the Black music community,” Jackson said. “The vibrant future of Black music will be epitomized by captivating performances while spotlighting the unforgettable legacies of musical greats and their diverse contributions."

Missy Elliot, SWV. Jefferey Osbourne, Evelyn “Champagne” King and The Hawkins Family will be the honorees of the evening.

The live taping for the event will take place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on Friday, May 19, 2023. 

The show will debut on the Stellar Network on June 3 before airing on Bounce TV on June 19, 2023.
