Tamar Braxton recently filed for divorce from husband Vincent Herbert, with new details surrounding the split slowly coming to the surface.

In addition to making the life-changing decision to end their marriage, the “My Man” singer is reportedly asking for full custody of their son, 4-year-old Logan, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

While asking for full custody may seem unfair, the youngest Braxton isn’t requesting any spousal support from the record label executive. Still, it will understandably be a hard pill for Herbert to swallow if a judge agrees with the powerhouse vocalist.

The soprano songstress met Herbert in 2003 through big sister Toni Braxton, who previously worked with music manager.

Whispers of an impending separation have surrounded the couple for years, heating up in 2016 when Braxton filed legal docs after a domestic dispute in an Atlanta hotel in which the cops were called. Herbert, 44, allegedly bit her hand during the argument, TMZ reported.

Braxton’s rep released a short statement regarding the split, saying the singer made an “extremely difficult decision” in filing for divorce. They added, “Collectively, their son Logan and his well being during this very unfortunate process is most important. We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this very difficult time. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers.”
