"That's just how we roll," Ciara and Russell Wilson share in a cute Instagram post announcing that they're expecting their fourth child.
The couple has always been very open about their Black love story, so much so that the running hashtag on social media has become, 'Ciara's Prayer.' After the "Goodies" singer’s public split from former boyfriend, rapper Future, Black women—and even men—were moved by the way the pro NFL quarterback publicy loved on his wife. It prompted many to ask, "Ciara, what's the prayer, girl?"—in hopes of finding a love that seemed as real and solid as the Wilson's.
Married July 6, 2016, Ciara and Russel Wilson recently celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary with a trip to Japan.
"In the bible, the number 7 represents a full and complete world," Ciara shared in an IG post on their anniversary. "My heart is complete and full of gratitude for the love we share. I have everything I want and need in you. Happy 7th anniversary, Russell Wilson. Thank you for loving me the way you do. I love you so much."
In their seven years together, the couple has certainly made several power moves. Not only have they raised their three adorable children—Future Jr. (from Ciara's previous relationship), Sienna and Win—they have also led many philanthropic endeavors like frequent visits to local children's hospitals and in 2019, they became part of the ownership group for MLS team, the Seattle Sounders.
Join us in congratulating the couple on the announcement of their newest arrival.
