This week, we'll be rolling out a few healthy recipes to help jumpstart your spring wellness kick during our series, The Wellness Experience. Caribbean condiment brand Bazodee is certainly on a mission to change the flavor of our foods. In addition to bringing consumers delicious, authentic island flavors, the brand wants to inspire families to build stronger bonds through quality time in the kitchen.
It’s a big part of what the brand stands for: cultural roots, heritage and family traditions. And mother and daughter founders Debra and Kiah Sandler, along with their beloved Auntie Mavis (the family’s favorite chef), share these values through the Bazodee legacy of culinary excellence.
Reflecting their heritage, the women incorporate a trifecta of ingredients from Venezuela, Trinidad, and other parts of the Caribbean into their sauces and marinades. Their unique made-from-scratch products are vegetarian and vegan, all-natural, and preservative and gluten-free. Representing three generations of powerful Black women, Auntie Mavis, Debra, and Kiah take joy in bonding over food and cooking.
Here are three of their favorite healthy recipes that they hope you will enjoy creating in your home with your loved ones.
