BOW DOWN. For my queen has blessed you once again. Beyoncé shared pics of herself with a new short ‘do on Instagram yesterday. Do we love it or do we love it? The sound you hear right now? A million Bey Hivers running to their nearest SuperCuts. [The YBF]

Surprise, surprise: Drake isn’t elated to know that a woman with severe mental health issues is publicly declaring that she’d love it he would “murder her vagina.” Drake was finally asked about Amanda Bynes’s one-sided love-hate relationship with him.

He said: “I don’t even know who is doing that or what that’s about,” Drake said. “If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going.”

Maybe Drake will love you back with proper dosage, Amanda. Good luck, girl. [Us Weekly]

As the hype builds for Lee Daniels’s latest film, The Butler, the famed director reveals that he didn’t get every person he wanted for the film. Speaking with Chris Witherspoon, Lee Daniels said that he wanted President Obama in his movie. Yeah, I’m shaking my head, too, but hey, Jasmine Sullivan told us to dream big. Anywho, Lee Daniels said of the casting choice,  “I was too afraid to ask him. I think that he was in the middle of something called the election. It would have been weird if I had somebody playing Obama. I couldn’t have anybody playing Obama but Obama.” Oprah is more powerful anyway. [theGrio]

Speaking of her royal highness, Oprah explained that while she may have Jesus’ screen name on iChat and Scrooge McDuck’s old money fault as her piggy bank, she continues to deal with varying forms of prejudice Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Oprah explained: “It shows up for me if I’m in a boardroom or situations where I’m the only woman or I’m the only African-American person within a hundred mile radius. I can see in the energy of the people there, they don’t sense that I should be holding one of those seats. I can sense that. But I can never tell, ‘Is it racism? Is it sexism?'” Obviously, Oprah will soon have to demolish the globe and start it all over. [ET]

Mariah Carey says she experienced racism as a child. During a recent press event for The Butler, Mariah said that her Irish mama was involved in the Civil Rights Movement and that as a child, she was spat on while riding the school bus. While discussing a scene from the film, Oprah asked about the incident and Mariah noted, “I know that people would be in shock or not want to believe or accept that, but it did happen.  So it’s like, that right there was almost the deepest thing to me in the movie.” I hope the person who spat on my biracial butterfly burns now and later. And that comment about some folks not wanting to believe her: That’s shade being thrown to the anticipated shade. Well played, Mimi. [The YBF]

Magic Johnson’s fashion-forward child, E. J. Johnson, sees you looking with your looking [redacted]. Clearly aware of the attention he’s been getting online in recent months, E. J. declared via the Twitter: “Dear Twitter, I am fierce royalty and you better recognize. The concrete is my runway. Forever fierce forever fabulous forever flawless.” Well, alright then. Keep serving the girls, sir. [Crunk + Disorderly]

Fantasia was not able to give her all during a recent performance in Atlanta, though she’s since made clear that she is not at fault for that. While she didn’t call them out directly, it was pretty apparent that the soulful singer was taking shots at TGT for not allowing her to get a proper soundcheck in before performing: “My background singers say they can’t hear. See here’s the problem ATL and you know I’m gone keep it real, real, real. Sometimes we do shows with people and they allow to get our sound checks. Sometimes they don’t. But that just only lets me know one thing… and I’m gone keep that to myself. So we are not haters. We like to perform with people. But sometimes they don’t like to perform with us.” [Rhymes With Snitch]

Tameka Raymond updated everyone about the status of Usher Raymond V, who was in a pool accident yesterday and was rushed to ICU, via Twitter. She wrote: “Cabin fever.. But I’m so happy to say that my son is doing much better. Talking & asking for food. Thank you for ur well wishes & prayers.” And she added: “And no I haven’t gone anywhere or done anything. #Relax.” Continue to keep her and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Tamar Braxton made sure she was done up before she delivered her baby boy Logan. During her appearance on Chelsea Lately, Tamar revealed to guest host Loni Love: “I made sure that I had my hair and makeup done and I had diamonds on, because I really wanted to meet my son the right way. I didn’t want my hair all over the place. I don’t get that! Why does your hair need to be all over the place? It’s just pushing.” This is exactly how I would expect Tamar Braxton to give birth. I’m sure right after the umbilical chord was cut she shouted out, “She did that!” [Necole Bitchie]

A rapper named Liv says Jay Z was trying to get his life back in 2008 – right before he married Beyoncé. As the story goes: “I was on the set hanging out with my sister and he sat right next to me. He literally moved his chair from next to the director’s next to mine. He was nothing but a gentleman. It was one of those things where we really connected. We talked, and left each other on that note. Then one of his bodyguards approached me and said, ‘Jay wants your number. He’s gonna call you when he’s back in town. I was like, that’s so wrong. One, that’s really immature to send the bodyguard to get my number. Two, I’m not somebody that would just get a call when he’s in town.”

She added, “I wasn’t going to disrespect B like that.” She went on to say that Solange looked at her crazy. Funny, that makes two of us. [Radar]

Another random rapper, Ransom, recently said on a track called “Man Alone,” “Before Nicki was wearing those crazy wigs, I was doing verses for her, just hoping she made it big.” Some misconstrued that as a dis towards Nicki and insinuation that he wrote her rhymes. So yeah, Nicki Minaj didn’t take that so well. When trolled by TMZ about it, Nicki said, “Yo, I’m not even a man and n**gas got my d*ck in their mouth.” Then she pointed out that she’s better than him and many male rapper. Ransom himself tweeted in response, “As far as I know she writes her own [lyrics].” Yes, now let’s all move on before Nicki curses someone else smooth out. Love you, HB! [TMZ]
