With hip hop turning 50 this year and everyone deciding that they're outside, music festival creators and promoters are all looking to capitalize on the momentum. And, for good reason. With so many to choose from—especially those with Black music and culture at the forefront—it's hard to decide which events we're pulling up to. But, Atlanta's ONE Music Fest just announced its 2023 lineup, and well, it's looking like the hottest event of the season.

Now in its 13th year, the 2-day event—taking place October 29-29, 2023—will be held in the city's Piedmont Park, a change of venue from previous years. With an attendance of well over 35,000 people, you can ensure that the 2023 installment will only be bigger and better.

"One thing we pride ourselves on is creating a diverse line-up that reflects the vast and beautiful breath of Black music and culture," J. Carter, founder of ONE Music Fest, previously said.

As for the aim of locking in a diverse line-up, they certainly did that.

On the ticket, there are tons of heavy hitters; so much so, it's hard to say even who's the headliner. There's Janet Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, Meg Thee Stallion, Tems, Fabolous, Bryson Tiller, El Debarge and so many more. There will be special Hip Hop 50 sets with some of the genre's best and brightest—from old-school to new. Emcees like: Jadakiss, KRS-One, Goodie Mob, Trina, Brand Nubien, and Too Short will take the stage to pay homage to the art that means so much to them.

Beyond the music—and to tie in the mission of supporting the culture—there will be a food truck village with some of the region's top Black-owned eateries; a vendor market with more than 100 businesses as well as art installations, too.

Below, catch a glimpse of just how epic this will be!
