Tina Turner gave a touching tribute to her son Craig Turner who committed suicide.
Tina spread her son’s ashes off the coast of California. Craig apparently committed suicide with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in Los Angeles in early July. Craig was a real estate agent. According to news reports, Craig witnessed a lot of abuse his mother suffered at the hands of her ex-husband, Ike Turner. Although he was the son of Raymond Hill a player in Ike’s band, Ike ended up adopting the boy when the couple got married.
Tina talked about her son saying he was very sensitive to the abuse his mother suffered and it affected him very deeply. The music legend is known for her music where she sang about the heartache and pain she dealt with in her relationship. Songs like What’s Love Got to Do With It, Proud Mary, and Private Dancer are among her greatest hits that women related to.
Tina has since remarried with her longtime love Erwin Bach and reportedly lives in Switzerland. Ike Turner died in 2007 reportedly over a drug overdose. According to news reports, Ike abused cocaine throughout his life.
