Fans across the world are excited to go "under the sea" to experience Ariel and her friends in The Little Mermaid, which premieres in theaters on May 26th.
EBONY correspondent Tyra Prude spoke with EBONY's May 2023 cover star Halle Bailey and the cast of The Little Mermaid at the world premiere for the film in Los Angeles about the impact of the film and reimagining this story for a new generation.
"It just feels so amazing to be a Black princess. I'm just so grateful and honored to be in this position," shared Bailey.
