This month, EBONY is celebrating all things #BlackBoyJoy with our June editorial theme, 'My Brother’s Keeper.' From an homage to Black dads, to essays on the journey to manhood from a range of actors, we’re exploring the strength, beauty and genius of Black men. For the first time, we’re rolling out a series of digital covers featuring a range of leading men from various walks of life.

First up, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star Shameik Moore. On the heels of the film’s launch, the actor-dancer-rapper discusses the power of artistic expression and how having the space to explore his various passions has helped him gain a deeper sense of self.

Also, British-Nigerian star John Boyega graces our cover ahead of his latest film, They Cloned Tyrone. The actor talks starring opposite Jamie Foxx in the 1970s-style Blaxploitation film, and how working on predominantly Black sets like Tyrone, and The Woman King have shaped his journey as an actor.

Finally, Tony-and-Emmy-winning actor Colman Domingo discusses his forthcoming projects, which include starring turns as civil rights activist Bayard Rustin and Mista in The Color Purple. Domingo discusses the importance of walking in purpose and being out and proud as a Black man in Hollywood.

This month, we’re also celebrating Black music month with the launch of our Hip-Hop 50 hub in partnership with Mass Appeal. Plus, a look at global Pride celebrations, and what it means to be young, Black and free in celebration of Juneteenth.
