The Florida woman who kidnapped a newborn baby from a hospital pleaded guilty to abducting and raising Kamiyah Mobley as her ownon Monday according to People.

In 1998, Gloria Williams pretended to be a nurse at the University Medical Center in Jacksonville when she kidnapped Mobley. At the time, the infant was just eight-hours-old. Since then, Williams, 52, has been raising the 19-year-old in South Carolina under the name Alexis Manigo.

After receiving two anonymous tips regarding Mobley’s abduction, Jacksonville police arrived to Williams home in Walterboro, SC and arrested her last January. They discovered Mobley’s birth certificate and social security number were phony. When being interviewed by police, Mobley admitted Williams informed her she’d been abducted as a baby. She reportedly told investigators: “We knew this day was coming. We just didn’t think this soon.”

During Monday’s disposition hearing, Williams pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping and interfering with custody. She’s facing up to 22 years in prison. Her sentencing hearing will be held in May.

Since Williams has been in jail, she and Mobley have been exchanging letters.

“I love you no matter what,” Mobley said in one of the letters. “There is nothing or no one who can change that.”
