"Events like EBONY Women Up are very important. It’s important for us to be able to share things like fellowship and friendship and to get to know one another. My hope is that you will get to see friends that you know and get to make new friends. New friends can turn into new business acquaintances and new businesses. You just never know how that goes. It’s just very important that we take this opportunity to be with one another," says Linda Johnson Rice, chairman emeritus of EBONY Media Operations.
