Evolutionary biologist and paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould said, “If genius has any common denominator, I would propose breadth of interest and the ability to construct fruitful analogies between fields.” Basically, most of what you do every day with your eyes closed. But the deep part is that you wouldn’t think a scientist, someone reliant on data and actual artifacts, would say something like this. For you, it’s another lesson in appreciating your “genius,” but here’s the twist this week. You don’t get kudos for making connections; that’s reserved more for the key word in that sentence: fruitful. That means girding yourself for the long haul, so don’t think too much is going to happen on the quick, cheap or easy. You’re more likely to be able to draw the better pairings once the moon goes into Gemini for two and half days starting early on Tuesday morning.
