Petty, who was recently sued for harassment by sexual assault victim, Jennifer Hough, argues that he never received notice regarding a hearing that gave him a chance to challenge the risk level assigned to him. Petty, who is currently listed as a level two offender, claims that the notice was sent to an address where he did not live. Further, he alleges that his signature was forged on paperwork. As a result, Petty argues that he has suffered public humiliation and monetary loss.
