2017 CIAA Basketball Tournament: The Week in Photos

Bowie State University cheerleaders performed a high flying routine for the crowd. Troy Hull, T. Cooper Hull Photography

The atmosphere was lit, the parties were hype and the games were shockers all week at the 2017 CIAA Tournament in Charlotte. The annual conference championship attracts a very large crowd of HBCU basketball enthusiasts, alumni, fans and revelers to the Queen City and this year was not a disappointment.

Each year, the tournament introduces a new generation to Black college tradition, creating new supporters and gives us a new reason to be proud of the culture.

Take a look at our gallery of photos from the event, which celebrates the history tradition and culture of Black colleges.
