R. Kelly hysterically broke into tears during his first televised interview since he was released from a Chicago jail.

The R&B singer sat down with CBS’ Gayle King to discuss a number of things, including longtime speculation that he has been involved in sexual relationships with underage women and allegations that he’s been holding multiple women against their will.

Here are five key points the singer addressed during his appearance on the show:

He claims the parents of women who have accused him of holding their children against their will have ulterior motives.

“What kind of father … what kind of mother would sell their daughter to a man,” he asked. “How come it was okay for me to see them, until they wasn’t get no money from it,” Kelly said in the interview released by CBS on Wednesday. He addressed meeting both Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary at his concerts, and called out their parents. “If I was going to take my daughter, and she’s 19 years old, I’m not going to put her onstage and leave her. I’m going to take her to the concert.”

Kelly revealed that instead of focusing on his career, he’s more concerned about mending the estranged relationship he has with his children.

“I’m really not fighting for my career here. I’m fighting for my rights. I’m fighting to have a relationships with my kids most of all, more than anything. They love me. I love them,” he explained. When asked if his children are interested in pursuing a relationship with him, Kelly added, “I bet you they do. They’re pressured and I get it, but I believe that’s going to change.”

The Chicago native believes he has not been impacted by the sexual assault he experienced as a child.

“It hasn’t affected me at all,” he began. After a brief thought he said, “It has affected me in this way that anything that I’ve been through or any struggles that I’ve been through in the past has affected my music.” Kelly responded, “absolutely not,” when he was if it the sexual assault he experienced in his youth had affected his behavior.

Kelly blew up in an emotional rage when addressing questions about claims that he’s holding multiple women against their will.

“How stupid would I be to do that? That’s stupid. Y’all killing me with this sh*t I gave y’all 30 years of my f**king career. 30 years of my career and y’all trying to kill me,” he screamed.

The singer confirmed being in a relationship with Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary, two women he’s accused of holding against their own will.

“I love them. It’s like they’re my girlfriends. It’s like we have a relationship. It’s real, ” he said. The singer discussed how he gauges age when considering dating a woman. “I don’t look at much younger than me. I just look at legal. I just look at you’re you, I’m me. Now, I don’t know if you’re married. I don’t know. I don’t know if you have a relationship. I don’t know what you—you know, I don’t know. But one might be older than the other. One might be younger than the other, OK? So I just look at legal, OK? People. There are older men that like younger women … there are younger women that like older men,” he offered.

R. Kelly spent three days in a Cook County jail after he was indicted on 10 counts of sex abuse. According to reports, nine out of the 10 counts the singer was charged with involve females ranging in ages from 13 to 16.

The singer was released from prison on February 25 after a woman from Romeoville, Illinois, posted $100,000 for the singer to be released until his court date, reports USA Today.
