Award-winning rapper Future has been tapped by luxury fashion house Lanvin to design the first capsule collection for the brand's Lanvin Lab.

The new sub-label seeks to foster creative collaboration and unique cultural dialogue, and music will be the focus for this first drop. The "Mask Off" lyricist was tapped to design the inaugural capsule that celebrates ground-breaking and individualistic vision, while also bridging the gap between music and fashion.

“Future is a visionary whose artistic influence extends way beyond music and entertainment and resonates throughout broad swathes of contemporary culture today," the House of Lanvin said in a statement. "Lanvin is delighted to partner with Future, whose innovation and originality have reshaped the worlds of music and entertainment.”

With Hip Hop turning 50 this year and Pharrell's recent appointment at Louis Vuitton, it's only a matter of time until we see more rappers crossing into the luxury fashion space. Fashion and music have gone hand-in-hand for decades.

The upcoming collection is slated for an Autumn 2023 release and will include ready-to-wear pieces and accessories for both women and men.
