Hollister & Co, the popular 2000s, has partnered with Midwest Kids, a Black-owned streetwear line, on a capsule collection. Midwest Kids, was founded by designer and celebrity stylist, Darryl Brown. Brown who was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, worked as a railroad engineer and steel worker before pursuing a career in fashion. He credits his success as a designer to partnering with brands that share and prioritize his values of authenticity and community.

The Hollister x Midwest Kids collegiate-inspired collection is rooted in the straightforward, humble ethos of the Midwest. “We want all people to know their dreams are very real and very much attainable. We are all Midwest Kids,” says Brown

“My focus is shedding light on the creative, talented, hardworking people of the Midwest because they have stories to tell that matter too. This collaboration with Hollister specifically highlights stories of people with Midwest roots,” continues Brown. “As a company that has been based in the Midwest for the past 20 years, there is so much synergy between Hollister and Midwest Kids, and this collection is the perfect example of the magic that happens when everyone has a voice at the table, rather than just a seat.”

Prices for the collection range up to $50; the collection can be purchased at hollisterco.com.
