From music to fashion, Kanye West always has a development deal in the works, his latest being a restaurant inspired by his late mother, Donda West.

The controversial figure is reportedly opening up an establishment focused on elevated soul food, according to sources at RadarOnline.

“Kanye’s shopping for the ideal premises to create a flagship restaurant in Calabasas. He has this vision of creating high-end comfort food just like his mom used to make – but with a price tag that’s as eye-watering as it is mouth-watering, of course.”

In addition to keeping his mother’s legacy alive, West was also reportedly inspired by fellow MC Nas, whose restaurant, Sweet Chick, recently expanded to five locations located on both coasts, specializing in delish fried chicken and strong cocktails.

“The New York locations are hipster havens, and the new LA outlet has become THE place to be seen among Hollywood’s rappers,” the source continued. “Kanye watched him build that business practically overnight and it lit a fire under him.”
